The Midlife Brain free webinar with Dr Monika Gostić and Dr Alex Kuciejewska, 12 October 2026

In this webinar, we will explore…

Hormonal Change

How hormonal changes can influence memory, attention, mood and motivation.

Brain Adaptation

Why your brain may feel different, and why reduced capacity does not mean reduced capability.

The Wider Midlife Load

The combined demands of sleep, stress, work and caring, and practical ways to respond.

Why This Matters

Brain fog rarely happens in isolation. Hormonal change, brain adaptation and everything you are carrying in midlife can overlap. Understanding that bigger picture helps you make sense of what has changed without blaming yourself.

We will discuss sleep, nutrition, movement, metabolic health and recovery alongside CBT-informed strategies for pressure, confidence and work. You will leave with practical starting points and a clearer understanding of your own capacity.

SCIENCE, CONTEXT AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT

Meet Your Speakers

Dr Monika Gostić is a women’s health scientist, university lecturer and founder of Dr Monika Gostić Nutrition. With a PhD in Genetics, an MSc in Biology and a BSc in Microbiology, she brings together biomedical science, functional nutrition and lifestyle medicine to support women through perimenopause, menopause and complex midlife health changes.

Her work focuses on the interaction between hormonal change, metabolic health, weight change, gut health, sleep, stress and inflammation. As a British Menopause Society Registered Associate Member and member of the British Society for Lifestyle Medicine and The Nutrition Society, she is particularly interested in translating complex evidence into practical, personalised strategies women can actually use.

Rather than relying on restrictive rules or treating symptoms in isolation, Monika works through her B.A.D. philosophy: Balanced, Authentic, Deserving. Her approach helps women understand their physiology, support their energy and build sustainable health. In this webinar, she will explore how nutrition, blood-sugar regulation, movement, sleep and recovery can support brain and metabolic health across the menopause transition.

Dr Alex Kuciejewska is an NHS doctor and executive coach who works with professional women navigating midlife. She has worked in the NHS for 25 years, spending the last 18 specialising in oncology, and is an EMCC Global-accredited Senior Practitioner in executive coaching, trained at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust.

She brings together medicine, the science of the midlife brain and executive coaching, with a particular interest in what happens when changes in the brain meet the realities of poor sleep, stress, demanding work, caring responsibilities and an already-full life.

Rather than viewing changes in memory, concentration or confidence simply as “brain fog” or putting everything down to hormones, Alex is interested in understanding what is actually changing, what else may be contributing, and what women begin to believe those changes mean about themselves.

In this webinar, she will explore what happens to the brain across the menopause transition, why the experience differs so much between women, and why the midlife brain is better understood as adapting rather than simply declining.
